Frequently Asked Questions
When should I check in?
We will be ready to accept kids starting at 8:40 am.
This year we will check in at the front doors of the MAC.
They will check them in, and give you their shirt and bows will be available for purchase ($15). These must not be worn on the day off, but they can be! Poms will be handed out at the end of the clinic.
Can I stay and watch?
We always recommend using these few hours as “free time” for you! Of course, you are welcome to stay, but we will have no seating as we have over 200+ kids registered. Also, you will get to watch a fun performance! At 11:30, we will start bringing you in to watch this show-off and to meet your child cheerleaders/take photos!
What will the clinic be structured like?
They will be in 4 rotation groups separated by age.
We will be utilizing 3-4 gyms for this event to allow for each group to have a great time!
Each group, especially the younger ones, will have several cheerleaders, adults, and a coach to chaperone at all times. Safety is our biggest priority!

What game are they performing at?
First quarter of OCTOBER 18th, Varsity game!
– They will meet at the north gate at 6:30 to start check-in.
– They will be separated by grade and will take up the entire sideline cheering!
– Each child will be given two wristbands at check-in. One for the parent picking up, one for them.
They are separated by color (grade)
The parent who picks up the kid MUST have the matching band for their kid for safety reasons. We don’t want these kids just running off. Safety is so important to us! For safety, parents must drop off their kids on the field, but exit as soon as they are checked in with their cheerleader. KNOWING THEIR GROUP COLOR IS IMPORTANT and will make finding your cheerleader easy.
– They must wear their mini cheer shirt to get into the gate. Parents may not enter the field to watch or take photos. They must watch from the stands.
The mini cheerleaders in their shirts will be allowed in the stands. Parents must purchase tickets. HomeTown Ticketing | Search for Marcus HS. Tickets go on sale 8 AM Monday 10/14
What do they wear to the game?
Black bottoms of any type or a cheer skirt if they wish.
Camp shirt
Poms
Tennis shoes
Bow
PLEASE BRING a disposable water bottle with their name written on it (you can put a piece of tape or anything for your child to be able to find their water bottle out of 160+ bottles!!!
PLEASE AVOID SENDING YOUR CHILD WITH TOYS/DOLLS/EXTRA ITEMS as these get lost or fought over.
Can I change shirt sizes?
We cannot exchange sizes on the day of the clinic due to limited shirts. We will however make a note of the size you need and see if we have that size left over or could exchange it with another child in need.
Again, thank you for supporting Marcus cheer! Many of these current Marcus cheerleaders were once mini cheer clinic campers! We take pride in seeing your child as the future of our program! Your support helps pay for competitions, pep rallies, uniforms, and all of the things needed to make our program successful!
We believe mini cheer is the most important event of the year! Community SPIRIT is EVERYTHING!
